12. Do your Digital Photo Frames work with Olympus and Sony cameras?
They type of camera isn't important - it is the type of memory card that your camera uses that matters.
The frames support CF / MMC / SD / MS / XD(excluding H series) memory cards and USB storage - But if you are like me - you will have already transferred (and will continue to transfer) your photos from your camera to the computer and then only copy the photos that you actually want to view on the frame - onto a memory card that you dedicate to the frame - or into the frames internal memory.
13. Can I save my files back onto my Memory Card - Do I need some other device or can I use the blank memory card loaded into the camera?
Depending on the Model you have purchased (with/without internal memory) - When attached to your computer, your frame will appear as a removable drive, so you can copy and paste or "send to" the frames internal memory. You can also copy and paste your files from your computer to the blank card. If your computer does not have a bulit in "Card Reader" then you may need one of these to transfer from your camera to a dedicated memory card. Files can also be transferred within the frame e.g. from card to internal memory or vice versa. i.e. Load your memory card from your camera into your DigiFrame and go to the Main Menu. Select Settings and follow the instructions to dowload files from the card to Internal memory and vise versa.
14. Is it possible to download photos to your computer then pick a selection to download onto a memory card and plug this in?
Yes, see previous question or your User Manual
15. I would like to play my photos in a particular order – how can I do this?
This can be done by renaming your photos Numerically (e.g. ph1, ph2, etc). And then Dowloading to your DigiFrames Internal Memory. Your photos will be displayed in numerical order. If your DigiFrame does not have Internal memory and you are using a memory card then your photos will be displayed in a pre-determined order.
16. During Photo Slideshow, what is the maximum time you can leave each picture on display for?
The maximum slideshow time for each photo varies with each model 10 - 15 seconds is the average time. The Soverign Series has the option of up to 1 minute per photo. Alternatively you can turn off the "Auto Slideshow " mode and leave each photo for as long as you like. In "Manual Mode" each photo is displayed until changed by the user.
17. When I am using Manual mode - How long can I leave the same picture on display?
Any photo can be left on show for 8 - 10 hours which is the recommended running time for the unit
18. When I insert a memory card into my card reader to download more photos – an error message appears "Do you want to format the disk?"
Choose "NO" – Memory cards have their own data that is required to stay on the card to keep them operational.
If you choose "Yes" to format the card, this data will also be deleted and it will become a blank card.
If you purchased/received the card from DigiFrame, please contact DigiFrame and we will replace with a new card
19. Can the DigiFrames stand up different ways?
Yes - you can choose Portrait and Landscape profiles by adjusting the position of the easel stand, please adjust the profile of your photo files to suit
20. Will it automatically rotate the photos to the right way?
No - the DigiFrame will display your photos in the same format the files are saved in on your memory card/Internal Memory - you can however rotate the photos using the "Rotate" button on the remote
