Q. I have purchased a DigiFrame with built in memory - How can I download photos, music and video files from my computer?
Follow these instructions if your desired files are stored on your computer.1. First, attach your DigiFrame to your computer using the supplied cable (small end into the frame - large end into the USB slot on your computer. 2. Open "My Computer" on your PC and your DigiFrame will appear as a removable drive (e.g PhotoFrame (E:) 3. Double click on the relevant drive and you will be able to see all the files that are stored on your the frames' internal memory (sample photos, videos etc) This is the location to copy your desired files to. You can also delete files from here too Find the files you would like to transfer to your DigiFrame - right click on the file and "Copy" and the "Paste" into the relevant drive (e.g PhotoFrame (E:) OR right click on the photos you would like to transfer and choose "Send to - the relevant drive (e.g PhotoFrame (E:)
Q. When I attach my DigiFrame to the computer - a message appears "Connected to PC remote not available" and the remote will not work - is this normal?
Yes it is - your remote control will not work. When your DigiFrame is in this state it is only for the purpose of transferring files. Normal operation will resume when you have completed your files transfers and have disconnected from the computer.
Q. How do I change from Auto Slideshow to Manual mode?
The Play/Pause button on your remote will alternate your DigiFrame between Auto & Manual modes
Q. When I am using Manual mode - How long can I leave the same picture on display?
Any photo can be left on show for 8 - 10 hours, which is the recommended running time for the unit.
Q. How do I charge my Gypsy DigiFrame without a PC?
There are many products out there called USB AC Home Outlet/Travel charger" which will allow you to charge your Gypsy using the supplied USB cable without the need to use a computer. These products use mains power, batteries or car cigarette lighter to power the USB charger
Q. How long will my Gypsy run before charging?
2.5 hours (whilst showing photos) on a fully charged battery. If the power switch is turned on although the frame is turned off (M button on top of the unit) the frame will have more than enough power to work all night and be used as an alarm clock in the morning.
Q. Iam having trouble charging my Gypsy, can you help?
The Power button must be in the ON position to charge this product
Q. How do I change the Frames on my Designer DigiFrame??
To Remove the ChangeFrame: Hold the ChangeFrame on each side at the bottom of the unit. Place your thumbs inside the coloured ChangeFrame on the black matte area and gently "click" your ChangeFrame out. Work your way up the side to the top. To Attach ChangeFrame: Hold your ChangeFrame in position starting at the bottom. Gently place bottom clips in place and work your way up the sides to the top clips IMPORTANT Ensure your new ChangeFrame is up the correct way first, by checking the alignment of the side clips on the frame. The side clips are offset to ensure your frame will ONLY git if mounted correctly.
Q. I have a 3.5" Fun & Funky what are the magnets for?
The supplied magnets are a unique twist to the Digital Photo Frame genre. They are included to provide options to vary the look of your DigiFrame if and when you would like to. TIP - Any magnet will stick in this place - so find your favourites and Have Fun!!
Q. I have lost my operating manual - where can I access a copy?
If you need a new Operating Manual for any DigiFrame products, please proceed to the Support section of the website. You can download a copy of the one you need here.
Q. I would like to re-size some of my photos - can you help me?
To change the size of your photos - we recommend you can use a Free and easy to use software download called Faststone Image Viewer. Please go to http://www.faststone.org/ find Faststone Image Viewer product, select "Download" and then follow the instructions to install the program. Once the program has installed on your computer, you can open the program to start using it. For a short overview on how to resize your photos, check out our Resize Images Guide
Q. Can I mount my DigiFrame to the wall?
Yes - except for the Keyrings & other portable products, DigiFrame's have both an easel stand and wall mounting holes. You can choose if you would like to mount in either Portrait or Landscape profiles
Q. How do I switch from Slideshow to Manual mode?
The Play/Pause button on the remote will alternate between Auto & Manual modes
